Option 1. Integrated Leadership for LEED Certification (1 point)
Meet the following requirements:
- Integrated Planning Team : Assemble and convene an interdisciplinary and cross-departmental
team. Include team members from at least three different areas of expertise that are relevant to
urban sustainability and resilience planning and execution.
AND
- Engage the interdisciplinary team to ensure understanding of the rating system prerequisites and
credits and attainment of LEED certification using the following strategies:
a. LEED Workshop: Conduct at least two workshops (in-person or virtual) after forming the
team on rating system requirements and certification process.
b. Gap Analysis: Assess the existing status of the city against the LEED prerequisite and credit
requirements.
c. Goal Setting and Action Planning: Identify the targeted LEED certification level, the credits
that will be pursued to achieve it, and the responsible parties for each credit and prerequisite.
Develop an action plan to accomplish these goals.
