Option 1. Responsible Land Use Policies (1 point)

Meet one of the following requirements:

a. Adopt city-wide policies/regulations or provide incentives to develop and reuse infill, previously

developed, and/or grayfield sites.

b. Adopt policies that provide density and/or height bonuses for infill development located within a

400-meter radius of transit stations or walkable mixed-use areas (including compact and

complete centers as identified in IPp2: Human Impact Assessment ).

c. Adopt city-wide policies on environmental conservation that protect local water bodies through

appropriate wetland, stream, and shoreline buffer widths; adjacent land uses; and permanent

land conservation.

d. Adopt land use strategies or development regulations that protect or expand working lands in the

city, such as agricultural protection overlay districts, urban growth boundaries, community land

trusts, and right-to-farm laws.
