Option 2. Community Safety (1 point)

Demonstrate an integrated public safety approach by meeting two of the following requirements:

a. Implement programs on community-based violence, interruption mental health crisis response,

and/or unarmed emergency teams.

b. Invest in neighborhood-level strategies to improve perceived safety after dark.

c. Implement programs/initiatives such as establishing a civilian oversight committee, participatory

budgeting for safety investments, and community survey programs to increase trust and

accountability between residents and public safety institutions.

AND/OR

Option 3. Housing Support (1 point)

Meet two of the following requirements to provide housing and support services for unhoused populations

as identified in IPp2: Human Impact Assessment :

a. Provision of short-term emergency shelter for at least 90% of the unhoused population during

peak demand periods, such as winter or summer months, for at least one year within the last five

years.

b. Transitional housing programs for individuals that offer time-limited, supportive housing as a

bridge between shelters and permanent housing.

c. Permanent housing solutions developed or coordinated in partnership with nongovernmental

service providers.

d. Short-term and transitional housing options accessible to families with children under the age of
