Option 2. Parking Management (1 point)
Demonstrate that city-wide parking policies exist that include three of the following strategies:
a. Preferential Parking: Provide designated parking spaces for rideshare (car/van pool) vehicles.
b. Parking Maximums: Regulate the amount of parking capacity allowed in all land-use zones
within the city using parking maximums.
c. Eliminate Parking Minimums: Adopt city-wide policy to remove minimum off-street parking
requirement for all land uses.
d. Shared Parking: Allow mixed-use development or shared facilities to reduce total parking
requirements by demonstrating that the peak parking demand for specific land uses can be
accommodated at different times (daily or seasonally).
e. Unbundled Parking: Require that parking spaces be sold or rented separately from building
purchases and leases in a defined area, such as a residential complex or a commercial district,
where parking is managed separately.
f. Dynamic Parking Rates: Set on-street parking rates dynamically by increasing prices during
peak demand periods and decreasing them during off-peak times, with the objective of
maintaining an average parking occupancy of 80% to 85%.

Option 3. Advanced Mobility Solutions (1 point)
Adopt four of the following city-wide policies or solutions to facilitate a smart and efficient transportation
system:
a. Passenger Information System (PIS): 80% of all transit stations and transit stops within the city
are equipped with a PIS system.
b. Automated Speed Enforcement: 80% of roads are equipped for automated speed enforcement;
alleyways and roads not controlled by municipality/civic bodies are exempted.
c. Traffic Surveillance : 80% of all transit stations and transit stops within the city are equipped with
CCTVs for traffic surveillance.
d. Global Positioning System (GPS)/General Packet Radio Service (GPRS): All public transit
vehicles are equipped with a GPS/GPRS system.
e. Signal Synchronization and Transit Signal Priority: All signals on arterial roads are
synchronized or prioritized to address varying traffic flows.
