Water Balance Analysis

Compile a comprehensive city-wide water balance analysis using data for 12 consecutive months within

the last five years. Report on the annual volume of water inputs, outputs, and potable water sources as

defined below:

1. Water Inputs (Supply)

Quantify the total volume of water supplied through various sources, including but not limited to:

a. Precipitation

b. Imported water (potable and treated/nonpotable)

c. Surface water inflow

d. Groundwater inflow

e. Other water storage increases (changes in soil moisture, aquifers, water bodies, and

storage tanks unaccounted for in the above sources)

2. Water Outputs (Discharge and Loss)

Quantify the total volume of water outputs from various sources, including but not limited to:

a. Building wastewater/sewage (from all uses such as residential, commercial, institutional,
