Option 3: Potable Water Use Reduction and Reuse Programs (1 point)

Meet one of the following requirements to demonstrate that the city is proactively supporting potable

water-saving practices:

a. Conservation-oriented billing rates that incentivize lower water use and/or integrate demand based pricing.

b. Landscape irrigation policies and/or programs that reduce potable water use for irrigation by 25%

during critical periods.

c. City-wide industrial water reuse policy that enables “fit-for-purpose” on-site reuse.

d. City-wide on-site water reuse policy requires projects meeting city-defined criteria to reuse gray

water on-site for toilet flushing, irrigation, and/or cooling. The policy must require potable water

use reduction of 25% for residential uses and 50% for commercial uses.
