Option 1. Public Education and Outreach (1 point)
Promote water conservation and quality improvement by implementing two of the following public
outreach and communication initiatives. Ensure that communications are provided in the top three
languages (based on population profile):
a. Real-time flood monitoring and warnings, including combined sewer overflow (CSO) action alerts
b. Timely public updates on recreational water quality
c. Biannual awareness campaigns promoting individual and/or domestic water use reduction and
responsible water practices
d. Biannual programs in education institutions teaching water conservation and/or rainwater
harvesting
AND/OR
Option 2. Residential Water Affordability and Efficiency (1 point)
Demonstrate affordable, efficient access to clean water by meeting one of the following
requirements/strategies:
