the city’s carbon footprint.

Comply with any combination of the following options for a maximum of 3 points.
Option 1. Energy and Carbon Tracking (1 point)
Track, benchmark, and report energy consumption and carbon emissions (electricity, natural gas, chilled
water, steam or hot water, fuel oil, propane) of city-occupied buildings at intervals of at least once per
month.
Include 75% of the total gross floor area of city-occupied buildings that are 10,000 square feet (929
square meters) or larger. Report data by energy source for the most recent reporting year.
AND/OR
Option 2. Energy Audit (1 point)
Conduct energy audits for 10% of the total gross floor area of city-occupied buildings that are 25,000
square feet (2,323 square meters) or larger.
