INTENT

To provide increased indoor air quality to better protect the health of building occupants.

Ventilation per ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 62.1

Demonstrate that outdoor air ventilation rates of all occupied spaces meet or exceed ASHRAE 62.1-2022 or later based on the measurements reported in EQp1: Verification of Ventilation and Filtration . Alternatively, the rates may meet or exceed the ventilation rate procedure outlined in Section 6.2 of ASHRAE 62.1, [7] editions 2016, 2013, 2010, or 2007.

Naturally ventilated spaces meet ASHRAE 62.1-2022, “Natural Ventilation Procedure,” or exceed opening sizes or natural ventilation airflow rates of ASHRAE 62.1-2022, “Natural Ventilation Procedure.”

If demonstrating exceedance from the referenced standard, increased outdoor air rates (or opening sizes) shall be provided to 95% of all regularly occupied spaces.

Points are awarded according to Table 1.
